About the Owner / Artist 
Nancie, owner / artist
I have been married to my wonderful husband Mark for more than 11 years. We have a great little boy "John" (9 years old) and he is his daddy's little man.
We live on 40 acres northeast of Denver, with several sheep, 1 guard donkey for the sheep, 2 horses, 6 border collies and 1 pug who is The Speckled Goose's mascot. She works hard every day greeting all of our customers. She would love to meet you too.
In June 2006 I opened The Speckled Goose in Old Town Lafayette, Colorado. In the beginning I rented out a few areas of the store to give customers a larger variety. Within the first year I overtook the entire store. In addition to my handcrafted in the USA, I have added more vintage collectables, and new items. This has given customers a nice mix of home decor and gifts.
I have been crafting for more years than I care to count or admit. The mediums that I currently work with are tole painting, stitching, crochet scarves, and a lot more primitive. I have started to make Raggedy Anne dolls. Boy are they a lot of fun.
I always welcome Custom Orders. If you have something in mind, just ask. I am positive that we can come up with something just for you. John and Haley
